I figure i may as well wrap this up with one last blog...
Eth covered pretty much all the thanks, but i will add thanks to all our parents, especially my Dad for his camera, Garry for his car, Milton for putting up with Eth every morning and Mum for letting us turn her house into mess for a week.
In case you didn't realise, we won!
Some Highlights (in no particular order):
1. David's opshop outfit. 8 items, matching in style and colour range, fitting perfectly, and looking excellent!
2. Dad: "Who was Dumbledore? He was one of those hobbits wasn't he?"
3. Tim's Proposal to Amber, BRILLIANT!!! Cant wait to watch it after church on Sunday night
4. Amber: "...Yeah...Sure..."
5. The overnight story, of Pip and his woeful adventures. See the page connected to the blog, and read all 25 parts! (Recommended one every half hour).
6. The Gingerbread Lighthouse and the Mentos Icecream. The first was impressive, and the second very tasty.
And I'm sure there were plenty more that I can't remember!
So, i guess that's it for this year (after some laughs on Sunday at Tim's expense), follow us (whoever "us" may be) again next year, with any luck!!

Yay!!
Yay we won. Congrats to everyone on the team for an awesome, fun filled week. Thanks to Amber for letting us use your house, straightener (my hairs boofier than its ever been now... it went back to normal after 20 or so mins), curler (david) and being in videos and stuff. Thanks Josh for driving us to forry and for letting us take stuff from your house and for being in one of our videos.
I think thats basically all the thanks. I'll end by recapping everything that we did today.
We started off at Bryce's where we tied up loose ends for some items and made sock puppets and started a home alone plan. We then packed everything into the car and sent it over to church... unfortunately there wasn't enough room in the car so Tim and I had to walk but we got picked up at Tim's house after finding a giant teddy bear.
At church we organised everything before going to Amber's house.
So we headed to Amber's house (grabbing some carrots on the way!) and straightened my hair and curled David's (it wasn't on the list but he wanted it done anyway) and filmed the twilight vs. Harry Potter chess match. After that and rewatching all the videos we moved back to church. We found some material on the side of the road and decided that it'd make a good flag. We brought it into church and little did we know that it was cockroach infected. We then spent the next couple of minutes hunting them down... it ends up we missed a few cause Mark did some flip thingy and squished 3.
After that we went round and handed out fliers for Dave (go to Better Backs) before ditching Tim at his house and marching back home... not the whole way but a bit of it. And then came the judging... and thats pretty much it.
So this is probably the last post from me until next year so seeya! =)
Carrots!
Well we've done the hair straightened by a girl task and David's decided that he wants his hair curled now so he's sitting in the chair with Amber curling it right now.
We also bought some carrots from coles (yum!) and videoed Harry Potter vs. Twilight (Checkmate!).
Other than that we are just tying off loose ends of items and sending them over to church.
See you all at the judging and good luck.
Mark says hi and Bacon! (he's had too much sugar... lollies for lunch)
The Final Countdown
Last day today!
I got the lighthouse mechanism working just before, so im happy about that, and the story last night was awesome!!!
Ive posted the first 2/3 in a separate page on this blog, and i need to get the final third off Tim. Sorry about the odd formatting, I'm sure Ethan will figure it out...
So today should just be tying off some loose ends, and sadly, I dont think I've left myself enough time for the Rube Goldberg machine =( but hey, it might still happen!
We need to film Harry Potter Vs Twilight (Checkmate!), and Fav Things, and maybe a few photos here and there, with a pie or cake or both on the side, and perhaps some houseplans and venn diagrams too!
Good luck to us getting it all up to church... oh dear...

The Woeful Tale of Sally, Barry and Me
Well we all went to Tim's to do some of the pictures and the veggie tales characters and were joined by Josh and Amber. After a bit of the aforementioned stuff we all headed over to Forest Hill to do some Elevator Adventures (with the exception of Bryce who went home to get some sleep. We also took a picture at Wobbie's world and we got the feeling that a few other groups had been there from the reaction of the lady.
After that we did infact raid Josh's house and got many useful things.
And Tim has a lot of tazos for some reason.
Well I'm glad my shift is over for the story. I can finally get some sleep. I hope Tim's slept enough to be able to continue this thing. Either way I managed to survive the night with a bit of angry birds and just sorta sitting on my bed and semi sleeping yet still being fully conscious (don't ask). I'm gonna post this thing then go to bed so yeah enjoy... and if it jumps around and doesn't make sense at some parts which im sure it will (jump around) and won't (make sense) probably like what i just wrote just remember that I'm tired =D Good luck Tim.
This part of the story focuses on pip questing for people who will quest with him to find the princess. Enjoy =)

Masterpeice!

Here is the lighthouse! (without a light, so far)
And here is the first paragraph, of the first ep of our story:
I'm Pip, and I’m nobody. I live in the kingdom of Azaria, and though I get people to address postcards to the castle, I actually live in an old shack slightly off to the side, and I sweep horse poo off the roads that the royals walk on up to the castle gates. That pretty much sums me up. I started nowhere (my Dad claims that he is from a line of surfs who actually swept inside the castle, but no-one believes him), and I’ll likely finish up nowhere. But hey, lets not get down on ourselves, I always keep positive, and I know I’ll be happy in the end.
Tantalising eh?
Yay!
The gingerbread lighthouse worked! I need to rethink my rotating mechanism, but i reckon it can be done =)
The latest count of things off the list was 93 completed, so im happy! My aim at the start of the week was to do 100 things, and earn 1000 points, and i think we are within spitting distance of it.
But we're not there yet! A story to write tonight (The woeful tale of Sally, Barry and Me), and more to finish off tomorrow. We shall keep busy
Im sure there were many great quotes and stories today, but nothing springs to mind, maybe ill think of one later.
The other guys are off to Forry to film elevator adventures, and raid Josh's place for other stuff
Watch out for a blog post a bit after 10, with the full first third of our story (written by me). With any luck, Ethan will post his completed third after 2, and if you're up early, look out for the finale with Tim at 6am (though the last ep may be written by me)
OTH!

Almost there!

We're back at it again, with Tim and Ethan working on some netspeak, Dave making a pair of slippers, and me figuring out a gingerbread lighthouse =D
:-) -From Dave (He didnt like my smiley)
I have a heap of gingerbread bricks (see pic), but i need some more ingredients to make the concrete icing, and i have a plan for the rotating mechanisms =P
Veggies and Sock Puppets later methinks

Home again
Back home, and i have decided i cant wait for school to return (i need a break!)
got a fair amount of stuff done today, but we hope to some of the big pointers tomorrow (gingerbread lighthouse, progressive story, pop up book etc)
im kinda glad this doesnt go for much longer!
- Bryce =]
And SAHOTIKE have the greatest uniform and anthem, clap-clap-clap (good job)

Trilympics
Well as you can probably guess from the title the trilympics was a whole heap of events that had 3 people of items involved such as tricycle races (i kept falling off), tag team 3 person chugging, basketball shooting, running three laps of the church, eating three chillis (they're disgusting, I don't know how Evan managed to eat ten and keep going after that, I can still feel the bur in my mouth four hours later), juggling three tennis balls, a three legged race (hopping is the best way to win) and many many more 3 themed events.
It was a heap of fun and I can't even guess who won it as it was, from what i saw, pretty close (either that or i wasn't paying attention to the score).
Tomorrow we will be getting back into the list before our final day and hopefully we will be able to get a lot of things done and have a lot more fun.
Unfortunately Nick didn't show at the Trilympics so I'm hoping that he will show up tomorrow or atleast for the judging.
Well I'm off so seeya!

Portraits and Proposals
Well we all did Item 88 with some interesting results (David was cartoonified and Bryce looked a bit like a turnip head frankenstein) but it all ended up looking fairly good at the end.
We also have some pictures from when Tim proposed to Amber. Andrew ddn't look too impressed!
Well we will soon be going off to th trilympics so good luck to all teams competing in this. Seeya soon =)

Time for sleep...
Im dead, so i shall be in bed soon, but i thought id round off the weekend with an entry
I failed on pretty much all counts for the Scav Line, but as no other team even attempted it, im still happy.
There was some very excellent videos today, come along on Wednesday night to see them!! And if you hadnt figured it out, Mark has now joined our team, to bring us to the happy number of 5 (i mean 6). My favourite quote for the day, even with all of Tim's was:
Quote (in full seriousness) "Who is Dumbledore? He's one of those hobbits isn't he?" - Dad (Mal)
I just had a very scary moment; i thought id lost my master list. But then i found it, so all is good.
We will be OTH tomorrow, making icecream, Twilight vs Harry Potter, elevator adventures and a Rube Goldberg machine. Bring it on!!
After a good night's sleep... and a quiet time (or 3)...
-Bryce =]
And they decided i'm a monkey, any thoughts?

The sun dims as the fun continues
:) happy be we hunters :)
WE enjoyed a very productive but hilarious day of fun, action & all the other good stuff :)
Mark was discovered from the lost city of the Inca's & so entered our company to push forward & thrive for success...altho it was his extremely humerical attitude that kept the men in high spirits to continue our journey.
Proposals were made..Damsels rescued..great escapes..crowns broken.
The day was assisted but the trusted Dumbledore whom offered great help with his camera wielding talents.
OTC....YES!!! not OTH but OTC
we are off to church =D

The Return of the Darkness
Well the darkness has returned after a long, eventful day. A long, eventful day with many funny quotes.
Tim: (on one knee holding a ring out to Amber) Amber will you marry me?
Amber: .............(ten second pause) Uhhh yeah sure.
Tim: You can jump on me!
And many more that I have forgotten but I'm sure that they will come to me later.
We managed to do a lot of the videos and photos today such as the proposal (Quote 1), the Great Escape (Quote 2), why the boy fell off the swing, what you found in Narnia, damsel in distress and the reality tv show entry. Plus a lot more than that.
Well we had a fair bit planned for tomorrow as we were going to go into the city but we changed our minds when we found out that Sunrise is actually filmed in Sydney so we aren't going to do that anymore.
Look out for more funny quotes and posts over the next few days and maybe even Nick will show up.
The Coming of the Sun
Well the sun has risen!
What i failed to mention before was that my early awakening was due to the pragmatic calling to prayer on thy Sabbath.
Nick remained a no-show to this pinnacle event that held the nation. This event entitled 'Call To Prayer' was well attended by many diverse age brackets. Bryce & I were allowed entry to such a exclusive and inclusive event...we thoroughly enjoyed our time there at such a prestigious gathering.
Currently our troops have separated to different regions of this glorious suburb of Mitcham! Ethan & I have laughed and been very merry in this log entry that i hope put a smile on thine face.
Briefly our quintet shall recommence and so we shall be OTH again soon. :)
PEACE OUT!!!

Dawn Breaks
Hello dear hunters,
i must welcome you all graciously from my darkened lair at 7 30 in thine morning.
The sun is still a no-show from my window view.
Not sure of our impending adventure today and whether or not we shall indeed be OTH...
I must ask you all to realise that 7 30 in the morning is very new to me and quite cold :(
But as Christohper Colombus said to Albert Einstein "Were gonna be legends some day!"
(although Albert Einstein is German so he probably didnt know what Chris was saying)
I must depart now to ready my self...GOODBYE!!

Well once again no luck with the triceratops (I've been searching through boxes and found some other interesting stuff but none needed for scav hunt). The whole team will be meeting tomorrow and hopefully Nick will join us this time. Either way there will be some more exciting blog posts than todays. So goodnight and tomorrow we will be OTH.
Item 280... the first time!

Well I had no luck finding the triceratops but I did manage to do Item 280. Cover a car entirely with post it notes. 2 of them in fact. We may also do this item again though, on a much more life sized model. The question is who's car though =).
Other than that nothing has really happened today.
Anyway im OTH for that triceratops again.
Go the Hawks!!!
Wooh go the Hawks. 7 in a row. I got back from the very exciting game and decided to start so this is my first saturday post (its technically saturday now).
Tims at a wedding tomorrow and Bryce is at his dads and David hasn't signed up for this yet so it'll be me for today... unless Nick decides to pop up.
Seeing as all the others are gonna be busy im gonna try to work on some of the items that I can do such as item 17... Im sure i have a collection of toy dinosaurs around somewhere.
Anyway good night and in the morning i'll be OTH.
OTH you may ask. Yes thats our Item 72. =). It means off to hunt.
Night All.

Harry Potter
Well, we havent acheived a whole lot more, but we played the Harry Potter quidditch card game for a few hours!
Nah, we had fun, filming an infomercial for salvation! Buy one get one free... But only for the next ten minutes!!
Also, ive been hooked on yet another iphone game: angry birds. Oh dear.
Now for a reality TV journal entry! Lets go Tim =P
Look fwd to hearing lots from Ethan over the weekend, im at Dads, and maybe Nick will surprise us with some well thought out words.
PS. There are lots of hundreds and thousands!!! We've only got to 2000 and its hardly anything!

CAKE!!!!!
Today we made cake... Masterchef style.
Surprisingly the end result ended up looking really good. Unfortunately the video is too big to be loaded on so the pictures will have to suffice. Also today we came up with our team name, mascot etc. The Dominators with our domino mascot.
Also today we made Tim eat two fingerfuls of wasabi... unfortunately he didnt cry this time.

So whats up for the rest of the day? Maybe we might go back to the BMX track for some clay or save a dying puppy. Who knows.WHY?!?!
Note to self: never do calculus before bed (see below entry). MY BRAIN WOULDNT LET ME SLEEP!
First, it wanted to further the applications of the pie thing (what about eliptical pies, or non linear depths?), then, it moved on to designing a catapult (which i dont think will happen) before finishing up with an EPIC Rube Goldberg machine (i seriously hope it can be done).
Then i finally got some sleep...
With any luck, my team will turn up in the nearish future, and we can continue hunting; hopefully starting by making up a team name =P any suggestions?
Maybe Nick will chime in a bit more today; he's was probably just shy

The Volume of Pi
Wow, that was fun!
i just used a combination of Specialist and Uni maths to find a general solution for the volume of a pie, taking into account the depth, size and slope of the sides.
I came out with an answer (after about half an hour), but felt that surely something must have gone wrong in the workings (there were alot of pronumerals flying around). So, i pulled out one of Mum's pie dishes, measured its dimensions and plugged the numbers into my formula. The solution was 1.36 litres, so i poured about that much into a jug, and slowly tipped into my pie dish. I was getting worried for a moment there, but the water came right up to the top and formed the bubble sort of skin thing just on the upper edge!! Perfect!!!
I was so excited that i proceeded to pour the water back into the jug, and ended up with it all over the oven, bench, sink, floor and even into one of the drawers... But hey, even that couldnt dampen my spirits, i have a formula for the volume of a pie!!
And i believe there was a quote somewhere in there of "i must be a genius" in disbelief. Leonie laughed...
Now, i need sleep. Photos and Videos tomorrow!
-Who else =P
David
Well, we're definitely off to a good start, with a star player in David Wynn. He constructs helicopters, eats white toast, walks the runway and more! As well as doing an excellent hyena impersonation... constantly...
Tim is in a singing sort of mood (be afraid), and im wondering how we're gonna last out the whole week.
Though i suppose Ethan will bring some civility (so long as he doesnt decide to march in the rain) when he joins us (hopefully) tomorrow.
Nick was a bit quiet today, maybe he'll pipe up some more in days to come
Over and out!
Bryce =]
btw, any thoughts on what animal i am?
And we're off!
Well, I am at least... The list looks great, with lots of maths, and making stuff!
People are coming over soonish, but ive already got a couple:
211. Straight out of the BB cash tin! (replaced, of course) 2006, if you're interested.
81. Its a beautiful world. With me, Tim, Ethan and Nick in it!!
180. He made it!
So far so good, and now my team has turned up (except for Ethan)
Bring it on!!

Scav Hunt 2010!!
Its that time of year again! That's right; the foraging starts tomorrow (theoretically at 6 am - though i guess the only person up will be Greg). I requested that the blog be Item 53 again, but just found out that the blog title can actually be changed, so we should be sweet =]
We still have to figure out exactly who will be on each of the 2 guys teams, but im sure by tomorrow we will be organised, energised and ready to hunt.
Better get a good nights sleep...
